Part-Time Music Minister Search
First Baptist Church of Riesel is searching for a Part-Time Music Minister. We are a small, loving and rural church about 20 minutes from downtown Waco.
Reports To: Senior Pastor and Personnel Committee
Status: Part-Time (No Regular Office Hours Required)
Primary function: The music minister is responsible for facilitating an atmosphere of worship in praise through prayer and the development, promotion and leading of the music ministry at FBC Riesel.
Responsibilities:

Lead Worship: Lead musical worship during Sunday services and special events.

Plan Services: Coordinate with the pastor and other ministry leaders to plan and organize worship sets that enhance the overall worship experience and align with sermon themes.

Rehearsals: Schedule and lead regular band and vocal rehearsals to ensure musical excellence and spiritual unity.

Sound & Equipment: Prepare worship songs PowerPoint slides each Sunday. Maintain and oversee the care of all sound and media equipment.

Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor volunteer musicians, vocalists, and technical team members.

Church Involvement: Be actively involved in the life of the church through worship, fellowship, and ministry.

Special Services: Play for special services such as Christmas Eve, Good Friday, Easter, Fifth Sunday Community Sing (only when FBCR is hosting), and other special programs
Qualifications:

A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle that reflects His character.

A heart for worship, service, and the local church.

Musical proficiency in voice and knowledge of instruments (guitar, piano, etc.).

Leadership and communication skills for guiding volunteer teams.

Basic knowledge of sound systems and worship technology.

Commitments:

Must be available 3 hours per week (9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.) each Sunday morning

Preferred availability for special evening services (Christmas Eve, Good Friday, 5th Sunday)
